Aakash Chopra Says MI Are Playing With 9 People: Commentator Aakash Chopra slammed Mumbai Indians for their team selection against Rajasthan Royals. Speaking on his Youtube channel, Chopra said that MI are playing ‘cricket with nine people.’
The match will take place in Jaipur today and will be the last home-ground contest for the pink side. MI are currently seventh on the points table with 3 wins and 4 losses from 7 games. Sanju Samson’s RR, on the other hand, are cruising to the play-off by winning all but one of the 7 games.

Chopra questioned MI’s usage of Afghanistan cricketer Mohammed Nabi. The commentator has a problem with Nabi not getting to bowl in the tournament.
“They have decided that they will play cricket with nine people, which is beyond my understanding. You are not getting Nabi to bat or bowl. Are you playing Nabi just as a No. 8 or No. 9 batter? You don’t wish at all to get him to bowl. You don’t get the confidence at all to bowl him,” Chopra said.
Chopra also said that MI’s bowling is ‘looking extremely ordinary barring Jasprit Bumrah’ and it’s high time they have to think of an alternative to Romario Shepherd, who has not been impactful across the season.
“If you are not going to bowl him, think of someone else. Romario Shepherd’s bowling is not working. If that’s the case, are you playing him also for batting? Look within a little. You just got saved by the skin of your teeth in the last match. Your bowling is looking extremely ordinary, barring Jasprit Bumrah,” the former India opener added.
