WWE NXT took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show continued the build toward Halloween Havoc.
Kelani Jordan defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker. Jackson Drake also defended the NXT North American Championship against Tavion Heights.
Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, and Keanu Carver faced Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars, and Tony D’Angelo. The match determined which team advanced to next week’s triple threat. The three winners will compete for a shot at Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship.
WWE NXT Highlights
Jaida Parker vs Kelani Jordan (c) (NXT Women’s Championship)
Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan traded control early, with Jordan using quick strikes and Parker answering with power moves. Parker later hit an avalanche Rough Ryder and Falcon Arrow, before locking in the Rings of Saturn, but Kelani escaped and continued fighting. Kelani then hit the split-legged moonsault on Jaida Parker and scored the pinfall.
Kelani Jordan won by pinfall with the split-legged moonsault, retaining the NXT Women’s Championship. After the match, Wren Sinclair attacked Kelani Jordan, knocked down referee Victoria D’Errico, and grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring before repeatedly striking the champion.
Creed Brothers vs Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
The Creed Brothers controlled the opening minutes, with Julius and Brutus using their strength to isolate Romeo Moreno. Noam Dar and Moreno fought back with quick tags and high-flying attacks, including a tope con giro and Orihara moonsault.
The teams traded nearfalls late in the match, with the Creeds stopping several pin attempts. Brutus eventually broke up another cover with the Brutus Ball before the brothers hit a double powerbomb on Romeo Moreno. The Creed Brothers won by pinfall with a double powerbomb on Romeo Moreno.
Charlie Dempsey Calls Out Zilla Fatu
Charlie Dempsey said he was tired of being overlooked in NXT and claimed his focus on technical wrestling had prevented him from getting the recognition he deserved. He explained that joining Birth Right was supposed to give him a fresh start and a chance to prove he was the best grappler in the company.
Dempsey then criticised NXT for treating Birth Right like a joke and said Zilla Fatu had the potential to become a major star if he joined the group. Zilla came out and admitted that Dempsey was right about some things, but he rejected the offer again, saying he was the Main One and giving Birth Right another “Hell no.”
Uriah Connors then appeared and said Birth Right was no longer asking Zilla to join. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianaa Grace attacked Fatu, but Zilla fought them off.
Lexis King then arrived with a chair and joined the attack. Birth Right took Zilla to the floor, cleared the announce desk, and put him through it with a triple powerbomb.
Jackson Drake (c) vs Tavion Heights (NXT Men’s North American Championship)
Tavion Heights controlled the early action with a back body drop and waistlock takedown, while Jackson Drake answered with quick counters and a big boot. Ricky Smokes briefly interfered, allowing Drake to send Heights to the floor before the match went to break.
Drake eventually created enough space to climb the ropes and hit the 450 Splash. Jackson Drake won by pinfall with the 450 Splash, retaining the NXT Men’s North American Championship. After the match, Myles Borne appeared through the crowd. Heights initially looked happy to see him, but that quickly changed as he became uneasy and left the ring while Borne watched.
Zaria, Izzi Dame & Thea Hail Segment
Zaria opened the segment by celebrating her recent success, saying she had overcome every roadblock by winning the triple threat unification match at Heatwave. She declared that the Speed Championship was now in the past and that she would continue as the most dominant NXT Women’s North American Champion.
Izzi Dame interrupted from the crowd and accused Zaria of becoming everything she once hated. Thea Hail then came out and said she was coming for the championship she previously lost because she wanted to prove she was more than a one-hit wonder.
Zaria mocked Thea for needing Jaida Parker to motivate her, while Thea said Zaria was jealous because she had a real friend. Zaria responded that friends always leave her. Thea told Zaria she needed to move on from Sol Ruca, prompting Zaria to attack her.
The two brawled before Thea caught Zaria in a double wristlock. Zaria tapped out to escape the hold, and Thea celebrated on the stage.
Cruz Montana, EK Prosper & Keanu Carver vs Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars & Tony D’Angelo
The six-man tag match started at a fast pace, with several double-team attacks. Mason Rook hit big lariats and slams before D’Angelo entered and cleared the ring with elbows and German suplexes. The match eventually broke down as all six wrestlers exchanged dives and finishing moves.
Tony D’Angelo hit a spear and chokeslam on Prosper before tagging Rook. However, the two argued over the next move, allowing Rook to hit a Blu-Ray on D’Angelo. Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars & Tony D’Angelo won by pinfall on EK Prosper. After the match, a brawl broke out as the winners stood tall while NXT Champion Grayson Waller continued talking trash.
