NXT Highlights: WWE NXT took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, as the build toward the Great American Bash continued.
The show featured a No. 1 Contender’s match for the NXT Men’s Championship, with Mason Rook facing Naraku. The winner earned a future title shot against Tony D’Angelo.
The NXT Women’s North American Championship was also on the line as Tatum Paxley defended her title against Zaria.
In the women’s division, Kendal Grey faced Kelani Jordan in a No. 1 Contender’s match. The winner earned the right to challenge Lola Vice for her championship in the future.

Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) vs Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
Raquel Rodriguez advanced to the Queen of the Ring quarterfinals after winning a chaotic four-way first-round match against Bayley, Jacy Jayne, and Kiana James. Bayley controlled parts of the match early, while Jacy and Kiana often worked together to slow Rodriguez down.
Despite being targeted throughout the bout, Raquel used her power advantage to stay in the fight. The closing moments saw all four women trading big moves and near falls. Kiana nearly stole the win with her feet on the ropes. But the match eventually broke down. Rodriguez capitalized on the opening and finished James with a one-armed powerbomb to secure the victory.
Mason Rook vs Naraku (Men’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Naraku earned a future shot at the NXT Men’s Championship. He defeated Mason Rook in a hard-fought No. 1 Contender’s Match. The turning point came when Kam Hendrix appeared at ringside and distracted Rook. Naraku quickly took advantage of the opening and hit Entering the Abyss for the pinfall victory. With the win, Naraku secured his place as the next challenger for Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Men’s Championship.
Kelani Jordan vs Kendal Grey (Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Kendal Grey earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship by defeating Kelani Jordan in a hard-fought No. 1 Contender’s Match. Both women traded submissions, counters, and near falls throughout the contest. Jordan looked close to victory after hitting a slingshot Ace Crusher and a frog splash, but Grey refused to stay down. The action stayed competitive until the closing moments when Grey caught Jordan with the Shades of Grey for the pinfall. With the win, Kendal Grey secured her place as the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Shiloh Hill vs Tristan Angels (Round One: Attire)
The first round of the Mr. NXT Pageant focused on attire. Tristan Angels showcased a formal outfit with a white jacket and black pants, a casual look, and a Union Jack speedo. Shiloh Hill wore a grey formal outfit, casual clothing, and camo board shorts with a snorkel for the swimwear portion. The judges were split on their opinions. Matt Matthews and Aaron Rourke praised parts of Hill’s presentation, while Kit Wilson strongly favored Angels. After the judges scored the round, Tristan Angels came out on top and took a 1-0 lead in the competition.
Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels (Round Two: Special Talent)
The second round of the Mr. NXT Pageant focused on special talents. Shiloh Hill impressed the judges by solving a Rubik’s Cube in about 15 seconds before showing off yo-yo tricks. Tristan Angels tried to match him by solving a Rubik’s Cube himself but struggled and eventually smashed it in frustration. He then moved on to juggling. Just when it looked like Angels had recovered, Hill returned riding a unicycle while juggling three balls, drawing a bigger reaction. His performance earned him the round victory, tying the competition at 1-1.
Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels (Round Three: Public Speaking)
The final round of the Mr. NXT Pageant was public speaking. Tristan Angels highlighted his pageant experience while also celebrating his 23rd birthday. Shiloh Hill took a different approach, speaking honestly about trying to find himself in NXT. His heartfelt and genuine speech connected with both the judges and the fans. After the crowd vote and the online vote were counted, Hill won the round and the overall competition. Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels 2-1 to become the inaugural Mr. NXT.
Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Zaria (Women’s North American Championship)
Zaria defeated Tatum Paxley to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship in the main event. She started fast and nearly won with an early spear before dominating much of the match. Paxley fought back with a superkick, step-up DDT, Coast 2 Coast, and several near falls. The champion also avoided a spear and landed a Cemetery Drive, but she could not keep Zaria down. After a hard-fought back-and-forth battle, Zaria hit an F-5 on the floor, followed by another spear and a final F-5 in the ring for the victory. Zaria celebrated with her new championship after the match.
