Matthew Breetzke is a South African cricketer who debuted internationally in September 2023. He has played for South Africa in all three formats. His first international appearance was in a T20I against Australia in September 2023. He then played two T20Is against India in December 2023 and toured the West Indies with the T20I squad in May 2024.
Breetzke made his Test debut in October 2024 against Bangladesh, playing in the first Test of the series, and was dismissed for a duck in his only innings. Matthew Breetzke’s Personal Life
Matthew Breetzke was born in Port Elizabeth in 1998 and studied at Grey High School. He began his domestic cricket journey with Eastern Province in 2017. He made his first-class debut on 9 February 2017 in the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup. Three days later, on 12 February, he played his first List A match in the CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge. He then made his T20 debut on 1 September 2017 in the Africa T20 Cup.
