WWE SmackDown Highlights: On September 27, the SmackDown after WrestlePalooza took place at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. This show was entirely based on the aftermath of WrestlePlooza on the blue brand, and also setting up new feuds and matches for the upcoming Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel in Australia. It was already announced that the main event of the show will be the highly anticipated match between Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and the WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
The show also featured another Sami Zayn’s United States Championship open challenge. In this episode of SmackDown, we also saw the return of Jacob Fatu, who has been out of action for weeks. We also saw a backstage segment between Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffany Stratton, further solidifying their feud, as they face each other at Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Championship.
WWE SmackDown Highlights: Cody Rhodes and The Vision
Paul Heyman started the show and addressed the upcoming match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes for the Crown Jewel Championship. As he was delivering his promo, Cody Rhodes came out to the ring and interrupted him. Rhodes stated that Heyman is one of the smartest people he knows, and then asked where his loyalty lies: is he an advocate or the Oracle. As Rhodes was talking, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker came out to the ring, and they attacked Rhodes. After that, we saw Randy Orton coming to save Rhodes and attacking both Reed and Breakker, forcing them to leave the ring.

We saw Street Profits and Miz and Carmelo Hayes in a 15+ minutes tag team match, where Street Profits defeated Miz and Hayes via pinfall.
WWE SmackDown Highlights: Kiana James and Giulia vs B Fab and Michin
In a Women’s tag team match, we saw the Women’s United States Champion, Giulia and Kiana James face B Fab and Michin. The match went on 10+ minutes, and we saw Giulia delivering her finisher “Northern Lights Bomb” on Michin, and with that, securing a win for her team via pinfall.
WWE SmackDown Highlights: Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre delivered his promo on how he had Cody Rhodes defeated, and that how the referee screwed him over. As he was talking, Jacob Fatu returned and said to McIntyre that he should stop complaining about everything. As Fatu was talking, McIntyre attacked him, but Fatu managed to save himself, and after that, he attacked McIntyre. The point of this whole segment was to start a new rivalry between McIntyre and Fatu, and they will potentially have a one-on-one match against each other on the upcoming Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel.
WWE SmackDown Highlights: Sami Zayn’s U.S Title Open Challenge
This week, Je’Von Evans answered Sami Zayn’s United States Championship open challenge. The match went on 20+ minutes, and received “This is Awesome” chants multiple times from the audience. However, at the end of the match, Zayn delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb to Evans and retained his title via pinfall.
WWE SmackDown Highlights: Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax vs Jade Cargill
In the main event of this SmackDown episode, we saw Stratton vs Jax Vs Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship. This match was one of the best matches of the entire night, and received chants like “Holy Sh*t” and “This is Awesome” from the audience multiple times. This match went on for 20+ minutes, and at the end of the match, Stratton retained her title by delivering her Moon Sault to Nia Jax and securing the victory via pinfall.
