Ronaldo’s message came after Al-Nassr lost their final league game against Al Fateh 3-2, in which the all-time great found himself in the goalscorers list. CR7 broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, which was the 800th club goal of his illustrious career.
Matias Vargas levelled the score in the extra time of the first half. But, Sado Mane found the net for the visitors again in the 75th minute to make the score 2-0.
When Al-Nassr smelled a victory, two quick goals from Fateh destroyed their hope of wrapping the league with a win.
Al Nassr finished the league in 3rd on the table with 70 points from 34 games. This is 5 points less than the second-placed Al-Hilal and 13 points less than the champions Al-Ittihad.

After the match, the GOAT took to social media to post a cryptic message that hinted at his potential exit from the Saudi giants.
“This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all,” Said Ronaldo on X.
If you think Ronaldo could be just denoting the end of the season, you would be wrong. There are multiple reasons why CR7 will be leaving Al-Nassr this season. One is his contract with Al-Nassr, which will end by June. The Portuguese hasn’t extended the contract yet. The second thing is the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. There is a huge discussion going on over Ronaldo’s Club World Cup participation. The most relevant news about it came from the FIFA president himself as he was speaking to the YouTuber IShowSpeed.
Talking to IShowSpeed, Infantino said:
“Yes, Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the Club World Cup. Negotiations are ongoing with some clubs, so if a club is watching this and interested in signing Ronaldo for the Club World Cup… who knows, who knows.”
As the highest goalscorer in the history of the game, reaching the end of his exciting career, his participation in the Club World Cup would be another feather in his legacy. More than him, FIFA would crave for his presence in their biggest club project.
