England vs India Live Streaming Details: In cricket’s ever-evolving commercial landscape, control of the screen — be it television or digital — has become a contest as strategic as anything played on the field. The latest skirmish has seen JioHotstar quietly secure the exclusive digital rights to the forthcoming Test series between England and India, beginning June 20 at Headingley, Leeds.

The arrangement, confirmed by Cricbuzz, is the result of a sub-licensing agreement between Culver Max Entertainment (formerly Sony Entertainment Network) and the country’s leading digital streaming platform. Sony will retain the linear broadcast rights, meaning the series will be shown on its Sony Sports Network, while JioHotstar steps in to offer online streaming.
Negotiations between the two parties are understood to have spanned the past month, culminating in a final agreement within the last 24 hours. Official confirmation from either Sony or JioHotstar was not available at the time of writing, though a formal announcement is expected imminently.
The series, comprising five Tests, will see matches staged in Birmingham (July 2), Lord’s (July 10), Manchester (July 23), and the Oval (July 31), in addition to the Leeds opener. Notably, this agreement is not limited to the red-ball contest; sources indicate it will extend into next year’s white-ball series when India return to England for three ODIs and five T20Is in the summer of 2026. JioHotstar will also stream these eight matches.
Sony secured the broadcast rights for England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) properties in India last year through a comprehensive eight-year deal, running until 2031. The ECB, it is understood, played an instrumental role in brokering this new arrangement between Sony and JioHotstar — a reminder that the shifting sands of cricket broadcasting remain, at their core, a game of power and access.
