South Africa Squad For WTC Final 2025: Cricket South Africa has announced their 15-man squad for the World Test Championship final against Australia. The team is filled with regular members of the team that made it to the final with a few returns.
The South African Cricket Team topped the table for the WTC 2023-25 cycle to make it to their first final in three attempts. They will look to become the first team to top the WTC table and win the final, as India finished on top in the last two cycles, only to lose in the final. They will face the Aussies, who are the defending champions in this competition.

In the most recent WTC cycle, the Proteas tied a two-match series 1-1 with India, lost 2-0 away to New Zealand, beat the West Indies 1-0, defeated Bangladesh 2-0 away, beat Sri Lanka 2-0 at home, and thrashed Pakistan 2-0 at home to book their place in the final.
Now, with their second ICC final in two years after reaching the 2024 T20 World Cup final, the South African Cricket Team will look to lift the ultimate prize in Test cricket for the first time. The final, which will be one match, will be played from Wednesday, June 11, to Sunday, June 15, 2025. The match will be played at Lord’s in London.
The South African squad will be very similar to their team throughout this WTC cycle. The Proteas will be captained by Temba Bavuma.
Tony de Zorzi and Ryan Rickelton will provide opening options, while the likes of Aiden Markram, Tristan Stubbs, and David Bedingham will provide other batting options along with skipper Bavuma. Meanwhile, Kyle Verreynne will be the team’s frontline wicketkeeper, with Stubbs being a backup option in this field.

While Markram is a fine batting all-rounder. The all-rounder slots in the team will be filled by pacers Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder. The two will be joined in the pace attack by Kagiso Rabada, Corbin Bosch, Dane Peterson, and a returning Lungi Ngidi, who missed months of international cricket due to injury.
The two frontline spinners on this side are Keshav Maharaj and Senuran Muthusamy, along with the optional spin of Aiden Markram. Spin will not play a major role int his match asit will be played in England.
