The RR captain has been going through a rough patch as continuous injuries have eaten up his game time with the Pink Royals. Samson started the season as an impact player due to not getting clearance from the Center for Excellence for wicketkeeping. All-rounder Riyan Parag led the team in these days, and in the initial 3 matches, the team lost twice.
Samson got the clearance for the fourth game, and RR won the match. But the club didn’t seem to have recovered from the shock of initial losses, as that was the last time they won a match in IPL 2025. Samson soon got injured again in the 7th match, a side injury that made him retire hurt, only for RR to lose a winnable match in the Super Overs.
As the player has been out ever since, Samson was seen practicing in the nets today, but there is no official confirmation from the club that he will be available against the GT match in the evening.
As Samson looked fit in the training video, the player’s return will happen soon for the club, and this will give them a new energy to fight for keeping their pride in the already lost league.
