KL Rahul Talks About Virat Kohli Before Facing RCB
KL Rahul, who is also a very good friend of Virat Kohli, was asked about the difference between playing with Virat and against him. He was in an interview with the Starsports, which was taken by Sahiba Bali.
“You don’t see him change a lot, whether you’re winning or whether he’s losing. He always walks in with the same passion, same intensity. He’s a very, very competitive guy. And you know that when you play with him, you know how competitive he is, and you feel like you have to somehow pick your intensity up to his level.”
KL also talked about Kohli’s ability to inspire the whole team to work at his intensity. And on the field, Virat Kohli has an intimidation factor that could sway the opposition off their feat at times.
“That’s the control and the power he has over the teams that he plays for where he can get a whole group of people to work at his level and work at his intensity and when he’s against you, you know that he’s going to operate at that intensity and he will not, if you’re in the opposition, you’re opposition, whether you’re friends or not friends outside of the field that’s a completely different story.
“But on the field, he is going to be a very intense opposition and you know he is a world-class player, that is enough to like you know, that intimidation factor of knowing Virat Kohli still batting, you know, is huge.”
KL also admitted that playing against Kohli is tricky due to the aura that th player carries.
“So whenever you are against him, you are scared that Virat can win a game from any situation. Until he is there, the game is not over, and the opposition is always under pressure, and yeah, playing against him is tricky. That aura can put people off their plans and off their mindset.”
