Who Is RJ Mahvash? Yesterday’s India vs New Zealand final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was surely one to remember. Played in the Dubai International Stadium, the game saw the Kiwis win the toss to bat first and score 251, only for the Men in Blue to chase the target down and win the title, winning their third Champions Trophy.
However, the on-screen action was not the only news from the match. While India won, Rohit Sharma’s Player of the Match performances and the fact that no senior Indian player retired might have been at the centre of the news cycle, another thing that caught many people’s attention.
A lot of attention was paid to people present in the crowd, most of it to Anushka Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh, the wives of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, respectively. However, the broadcast also showed Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian spinner who missed out on making the CT 2025 squad.
Who Is RJ Mahvash?
Chahal attended the match with someone who might be unknown to many people watching the match. RJ Mahvash, who attended the match with Yuzi, is an Aligarh-born YouTuber who started her career as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. She is known for her prank videos on social media and recently turned down an invitation to participate in the reality TV show Bigg Boss.
This appearance comes soon after Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma. The two were married for about 18 months before being separated. While rumours of the two’s separation began late last year, they confirmed their divorce just last month.
This was not Mahvash’s first appearance alongside Chahal, as she had posted a picture of the two attending a Christmas party last year. Those pictures played a major role in sparking the rumours surrounding the leg-spinner’s separation from his then-wife.

After India’s win in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, RJ Mahvash took to her Instagram with over 1.8 million followers to share a few videos and photos of the fireworks following India’s win. In the caption, she had this to say:
“Kaha tha na jita ke aungi. I am good luck for team India! (Told you they’d win if I were there. I am good luck for team India!”
Yuzvendra Chahal is currently out of favour with the Indian Cricket Team. He will, however, be seen playing for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. The most successful bowler in the history of the league, he was bought by the Kings for a whopping Rs. 18 crore, making him one of the most expensive spinners in the history of the IPL.
