Virat Kohli Nearly Gets Into A Fight With Fan: Indian star batter Virat Kohli nearly gets into a verbal altercation with a fan while returning to the dressing room after getting out in the first delivery of the fourth Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Today was Day Two of the fourth Australia vs India Test, played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. On Day One, the Aussies won the toss and ended the day at 311/6.
Today was an even better day for the home side. First, Steve Smith reached his century and scored 140 runs. Then, with the help of captain Pat Cummins, Australia reached 474 runs.
The Indian inning got off to a poor start as captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for three runs, but then, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal stabilised the ship. However, as soon as the score went past 50, Rahul was bowled by Cummins, bringing Virat Kohli to the strike.
Jaiswal and Kohli then stitched together a 102-run partnership, where Yashasvi scored most of the runs. But in an unlucky turn of events, Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out at a personal score of 82.

Then, just an over later, Virat, playing on 36, got out to Scott Boland in an oh-so-familiar way, trying to hit a ball in the line of the 5th/6th stump, edging it, and getting caught behind.
However, where things were different was when the veteran batter was leaving the field. While in the tunnel that went into the dressing room at the MCG, something said by a fan clearly irked him. Not one to stay quiet, the former Indian Cricket Team captain walked back and looked for the fan who offended him.
Luckily, security staff were present at the situation to diffuse it, as one could be seen keeping his hand on Kohli’s shoulder and escorting him back to the dressing room.

This has been the second continuous day of fiery incidents for Virat Kohli in this Test. On Day One, he collided with debutant Sam Konstas shoulder to shoulder before the two got into a verbal altercation. That incident resulted in Virat being fined 20% of his match fee.
As for India, that late-day collapse would harm them a lot. They ended Day Two of the fourth India vs Australia Test at 164/5, trailing by 310 runs with Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja on strike.
With the series standing at 1-1, this Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is crucial for the ultimate result of this series, as only one Test in Sydney remains after this one.
