In the Intercontinental Cup, Mbappe opened the scoresheet by converting a stunning pass from the 2024 FIFA Best Player, Vinicius Junior. In the 37th minute, Brazilian star Rodrygo pulled off a spectacle by shaking the Pachuca net with a long-range shot. Vinicius Junior finished the scoresheet by scoring from the spot in the 84th minute.
