With the pitches in the West Indies, where the T20 World Cup was being co-hosted, supporting spin bowling and Imad being in terrific hitting form as well, he spoke with the PCB and reversed his retirement and was picked in the side for the showpiece ICC event.
However, Pakistan couldn’t go past the USA leg: they lost to India and the USA and failed to qualify for the Super 8 round, which was hosted in the West Indies. Wasim failed to make an impression in the chances he got. The left-hander scored only 19 runs and claimed three wickets in three games.
