Neymar to Santos? Amid the talks of Al Hilal’s Brazilian superstar Neymar’s Santos return, his agent Pini Zahavi dropped a major update on the transfer.
Neymar has been out of the pitch since 2023 due to a horrible knee injury. The player returned last week in Al Hilal’s AFC Champions League matches to only return injured after playing just 2 matches. He is expected to return for the team’s next match in the Champions League as the injury seems lighter.
However, since his arrival in the country, the Saudi Pro League champions could only see Neymar a few times on the football field. Considering the injury streaks and his humongous salary of $107 million, there have been reports that Al-Hilal might try to terminate his contract in January.
Following this, news about Neymar’s historic return has spread in the football world. Santos president Marcelo Teixeira’s tease on ESPN last week strengthened this rumor, as Teixeira said:
“We can’t come out publicly saying that it will happen in January, in June. Right now, the fact is that anything can happen. As soon as anything happens, the parties are very close.”

But Neymar’s agent, Pini Zahavi, waved off the rumors by saying:
“There are no talks ongoing for Neymar to leave Al-Hilal. He’s under contract and very happy there.
“Neymar’s father and I are the only people who can talk about Ney’s future. I don’t know where recent rumors are coming from,” Zahavi said, as quoted by insider Fabrizio Romano.
