Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have been a power couple in Indian cricket. The Bollywood star has been seen multiple times at different venues of cricket to support her husband Virat Kohli. One of those instances is mentioned by India’s wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul.
To tell the story, we will have to turn the clock backward to 2014. India was playing Australia in Melbourne, and it was the debut of KL in the red-ball cricket. The Bangalore-based player’s starting match didn’t go the way he wanted. Rahul was disappointed, and Anushka Sharma noticed it.

As KL was sitting inside his room, thinking about his terrible day, Anushka Sharma showed up to his doorstep, asking him to come out with her and Virat for dinner. KL remembers that the couple helped him to get out of negative thoughts by sharing their own experiences of bad moments and the way they tackled them.
“Both of them (Anushka and Virat) have been very good to me, and I have a great story to tell you. Anushka was there to watch the Melbourne match. She could see that I was down and dejected (with personal performance) while my thoughts were all over. Anushka came to my room and told me she isn’t going to let me sit alone and think about cricket and added that she and Virat are going to take me out,” said Rahul.
“I third-wheeled on one of the dinner dates. Both Virat and Anushka shared their stories, describing moments when they had endured failure in their careers. That made me feel like that I wasn’t the only one who ruined his first impression. We had a week’s break before the next game, and they took me out every time with them. They are a powerful couple and have had a great influence on me as a couple,” Rahul added.
