Former Indian National Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid might be in talks with his former IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, as well as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, for the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League.
Dravid, who recently was the head coach of the India team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup, started his coaching and mentoring career in 2014 when he coached the Royals right after his retirement.

After leaving the India job, rumors and reports have been linking Dravid with several IPL teams. Recently, an anonymous source told the Times of India that talks have been going on between him and RR.
“Talks are going on between RR and Dravid, and an announcement in this regard is around the corner,” the source told.
Reports have also emerged linking the former Indian cricketer with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders, with the latter looking to replace Gautam Gambhir, who is the new India head coach, after winning the 2024 IPL season by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.
The 51-year-old has not only played for RR and RCB but has also captained both teams. He started his IPL career with the Royal Challengers, a side that he captained in the inaugural 2008 season.

After a four-year stint with the junior teams, Rahul Dravid was named the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and was seen as a future India head coach, a job he got in November 2021, replacing Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the Indian team.
His stint with Team India recently ended after the team won the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies, defeating South Africa in a dramatic final and breaking the Men in Blue’s 11-year-long drought for ICC trophies.
