Afridi Calls Raina Raina to Delete His Statement: Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. This news broke out a few days ago and flamed a cracker on the internet when an internet user poked Suresh Raina, tagging him with the news.
Raina couldn’t hold himself on the seat peacefully, and the 2011 World Cup winner took to X to have a dig at the newly appointed ambassador.
“I am not an ICC ambassador, but I have the 2011 World Cup at my home. Remember the game at Mohali? I hope it brings some unfortunate memories for you,’ Raina tweeted.
“Great individuals rectify their mistakes,”

Afridi Calls Raina Raina to Delete His Statement
Raina’s post led Afridi to call the Indian cricketer and ask him to take down the post. The Pakistani player later spoke to the media, saying that Raina had taken down the post.
“I have shared many cricket moments with Suresh Raina. He is a good person,” Afridi said.
“The lighthearted banter happens. After seeing the post on social media. I spoke with Raina, and he understood the situation like a younger brother. He agreed to delete the tweet. It is all good. Great individuals rectify their mistakes,” he added.
Shahid Afridi has a terrific record in the T20 World Cup. The star was the man of the tournament when his team lost to arch-rivals India in the final of the inaugural session of the tournament. Two years later, in 2009, Afridi’s man-of-the-match performance helped Pakistan avenge the loss and win their first T20 World Cup title.
Afridi joins the elite list of ambassadors for the T20 World Cup, including former Indian star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, West Indies firecracker Chris Gayle, and the fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt.
