Doull Says Kohli Reads Rubbish From Social Media: Virat Kohli is the current orange cap holder in IPL 2024. But his team is placed at the bottom of the table. RCB’s disastrous performance in the competition has been blamed on the star by pundits, including some of the former cricketers.
The main concern that critics point out is the strike rate the legendary batter has been keeping in the tournament. According to them, Virat’s batting is too slow for the World Cup.
Virat Kohli, after his incredible match-winning performance against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans, lashed at the critics, saying that he has been doing this for 15 years and it’s also a muscle memory for him. According to Kohli, he is aimed at winning matches for the team and not at strike rates.
He also slammed the critics by saying that he isn’t sure if they have gone through the same situation on the pitch, as it’s quite different from sitting and ‘speaking about the game from a box’.

Simon Doull Says Kohli Reads Rubbish From Social Media
Former cricketer Simon Doull thinks that Virat Kohli reads a lot of ‘rubbish’ on social media or that someone from the team informs him about those. Doull opined that the legendary batter doesn’t need to make such comments.
“I think he is reading a lot of stuff on social media and is reacting to it. If he is not reading, then someone from his team is informing him about what is being said. He is a great player, and he did not need to react in that fashion after the match.
“This is not the first time this year. He has made a habit of making a point after the game. There is no need for him to read the rubbish on social media and then make big statements,”
Simon Doull said on Cricbuzz.
