Harbhajan Wants Samson to Be the Next T20 Captain: Former Indian spin sensation Harbhajan Singh finally brings up a topic that the genuine cricket fraternity has been asking about for a long time: the inclusion of Sanju Samson in the national side for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Samson, who has been in jaw-dropping form with the bat, has now grown to a stage where selectors won’t be able to look away from him anymore.

Harbhajan Singh said that the debate over the wicketkeeper shouldn’t even be a debate. He picks Samson for that role and also thinks that he should be groomed as India’s T20 captain after Rohit Sharma.

Shashi Tharoor Asks Justice for Sanju
Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor also joined the discussion in the comment section. Tharoor thinks that Samson has been a deserving candidate for years. He also blamed the fact that even though he is the best wicketkeeper-batsman in the country, his name is still not discussed during the team selection debate.
“Have been arguing for years that Sanju (Sanju Samson) has not had the selectorial breaks he deserved. Now he is the leading Keeper-batsman in the @IPL but is still not discussed when the team is debated. Justice for Sanju!,” said Taroor.
Finch Is Amazed With Sanju Samson
Earlier, former Australian player Aaron Finch also talked about the captaincy ability of Samson. Finch praised the great leader that is there in Samson.
“I think he’s leading the side unbelievably well, you can see how calm the Rajasthan Royals are when they’re under pressure. And I think that the only game they lost was when they had that meltdown against GT right at the back end of the game, so they’ve been so clinical right throughout this IPL, and a lot of credit has to go to Sanju for that,” said Finch.
“He’s been playing really mature innings and that’s what is required for the team. I think in times of T20 cricket, the ego of the batsman can get in the way of what the team needs sometimes but he’s been playing each and every situation exactly how it’s needed to be done,” he added.
