The 27-year-old Gardner is arguably the best women’s all-rounder in the world. Gardner, a right-arm off-spinner and a middle-order batter, is ranked fourth in the ICC women’s ODI all-rounder ranking and third in the ICC women’s T20I all-rounder ranking.
She has a significant amount of international experience, having featured in 69 WODIs and 88 WT20Is, along with 6 WTests. She is a multiple-time World Cup winner with Australia and was part of the world-beating, globe-dominating Australian side under Meg Lanning.

On Friday, Ashleigh Gardner confirmed on her Instagram that she got engaged to her long-time girlfriend Monica Wright. They have reportedly been dating since 2021.
Gardner captioned her Instagram post, “Mrs. Gardner has a nice ring to it.”
Gardner had earlier made several posts with Monica, who had previously been spotted on the grounds to support Ashleigh. Earlier this year, in January, Monica attended the 2024 Australian Cricket Awards, where Gardner won the Belinda Clark Award.

She is the first Australian women’s cricketer to be included in Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year since Ellyse Perry in 2020.
Earlier, her match-winning efforts for Australia in bilateral and ICC tournaments were rewarded with the Belinda Clark Award for the second time in three years. In ODIs during the voting period, she picked up 20 wickets. Her most notable contribution in 2023 came in the T20 World Cup in South Africa, where she delivered with both bat and ball as Australia clinched another ICC trophy.
