Virat Kohli Comments On RCB Losing To KKR: Virat Kohli is the greatest player in not only the history of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru but arguably in the history of the IPL as well. He has now commented on his side’s disappointing loss against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, claiming that the team is much better than their performance this Friday.
RCB took on KKR in Match 10 of IPL 2024. This contest, more than on-field performances, was hyped up by the prevailing rivalry between Kohli and KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir.
While the rivalry itself did not see another chapter being written in the saga as the two hugged in the middle of the pitch, the match will be remembered for KKR thrashing RCB in their own home ground at Chinnaswamy.

While batting first, the Royal Challengers’ batting order lost wickets in quick succession as Virat himself anchored the knock. His 83-off-59 took the side to a respectable total of 182/6 at the end of 20 overs.
KKR’s opening pair of Phil Salt and Sunil Narine went on the offensive, reaching the 80-run mark in just six overs. When those two got out, it was Venkatesh Iyer who carried the innings and scored a 50. He, along with captain Shreyas Iyer nearly took the team home. It was Shreayas and Rinku Singh who finished the match with 19 balls to spare.
KKR’s seven-wicket win was the first time this season that an away team won a match, breaking a nine-match streak.
Virat Kohli Comments On RCB Losing To KKR
In a post-match conversation on RCB’s website, Virat Kohli commented on his side’s loss, claiming that the team is much better than what their performance suggested against KKR.
“We had a tough night, we are much better than that – as long as we accept it and move forward with courage & belief in our skills so let’s stay on that path,” he said.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have lost two out of their first three IPL 2024 matches and are sixth on the table. The team will take on the Lucknow Sper Giants in their next match at the latter’s home ground Ekana Stadium on April 2.
