1) James Vince – 356 runs
English opener James Vince was the captain of defending champions Gulf Giants going into ILT20 2024. Throughout this tournament, he scored a solid 356 runs in 12 matches at an average of 29.67.
The Englishman not only was the highest run scorer of the tournament, but he also captained his side into the playoffs, only going out after losing Qualifier 2. He scored four half-centuries in the tournament, with his highest score of 59 coming against the MI Emirates.
Despite all the runs he scored, he had an average strike rate of 120.27.

2) Nicholas Pooran – 354 runs
Wicketkeeper and captain of the MI Emirates West Indian Nicholas Pooran not only took his side to the title with his captaincy but was also the leader of the side’s batting unit. While he finished second in the highest run scorer list for ILT20 2023, he finished just two runs behind James Vince despite playing two fewer matches.
With a solid average of 50.57 and a staggering strike rate of over 170, Nicholas Pooran was by far the best batsman this season.
Pooran also played a scintillating knock of 57-off-27 balls in the final against the Dubai Capitals, which resulted in him winning the Player of the Match award.
3) Kusal Perera – 335 runs
One can now see the reason behind MI Emirates’ dominance in ILT20 2024, as two of their players are in the top three highest run-scorers throughout the tournament, with another Emirates player Waseem Muhammad finishing 4th.
Opening for the MI Emirates throughout the tournament, Kusal Perera scored 335 runs with an average of 33.5 and a strike rate of 157.28. He played a crucial role in his side’s tournament win and made his side’s batting one of its stronger units right from the start.
