Background
Messi landed in Miami last season after falling off with Paris Saint Germain. La Pulga couldn’t shine up to the expectations of the club and the fans and finally decided to sign David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
But things got worse in Miami for Leo. After a celebrated transfer, he struggled with poor form and injuries and his club was the second-worst team in the league last season.
Despite that, MLS is being criticized for favoring Messi a little too much while ignoring the rights of other teams and the players.
Alvaro Morales Throws a Jab at Messi
Green ticking the above allegation, Messi’s Inter Miami was given a 7-minute extra time after reducing the LA Galaxy to 10 men. Visually, for a lot of people, it seemed like a clear helping hand for Argentine to score to justify the huge marketing behind him. One of the critics was the Journalist Alvaro Morales and he joked about the situation.
“There it is: only with a Galaxy red card and seven extra minutes could Messi score. Just like that! Messi League Soccer. You were warned.”
