Cody Rhodes Suffers Nasty Cut At RAW: WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes suffered a nasty cut above his left eye during his match against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Due to the cut, he received three stitches.
RAW this week was all about Rhodes, at least the crowd saw it that way as the fans chanted “We want Cody” all night. This was in reference to The Rock seemingly taking his place in the main event of WrestleMania 40 to face the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
WWE acknowledging the fans movement, which has seen Cody Rhodes trend for three full days on X (formerly Twitter), might mean that head booker Triple H might have some surprises up his sleeve.

But after kicking off the show on a segment with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes also main-evented the show in a brutal Bull Rope match against long-time rival Shinsuke Nakamura.

During the match, Cody was hit with the bell attached to the bull rope a little too hard opening a gruesome cut that resulted in the left side of his face covered filly in blood by the end of the match.
The American Nightmare did end up winning the match despite a face full of mist by Nakamura. Now their feud is seemingly over, the mystery of Cody’s WrestleMania match continues.

Following the match, Drew McIntyre ran out to attack an injured Cody Rhodes, but Sami Zayn was there to make the save. McIntyre is himself looking for a path to WrestleMania 40, possibly challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
