Sreesanth calls out Gambhir for disrespect: Former Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth bashed Gautam Gambhir after both reportedly had a run at each other in the Legends Cricket League on Wednesday.
Context
The Gujarat Giants took on the India Capitals in the Legends Cricket League on December 6. Gambhir, who was batting for the Capitals, hit a few boundaries in Sreesanth’s deliveries. Following that, both players were seen lashing out at each other on the pitch. It didn’t escalate to something big, as Sreesanth was held back by his teammates.

Post-match, Sreesanth released a video on Instagram explaining what happened during the match. He alleged that it was Ghambir who started the altercation.
“Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me something which was very rude, which shouldn’t have been said by Mr. Gautam Gambhir.”
He also said that he was deeply hurt by Ghambir’s comments.
“I am not at all at fault here. I just wanted to clear the air straight away. What Mr Gauti has done, sooner or later, all of you will get to know. The words that he used and the things he said on a cricket field are not acceptable. My family, my state, everybody has gone through so much. I am extremely hurt.”

Sreesanth also dropped a bomb, saying Gambhir doesn’t respect any senior players, and he picked Virender Sehwag’s name to be prominent.
“He does not even respect his senior players, including Viru Bhai (Virender Sehwag). That’s exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me something which was very rude, which shouldn’t have been said by Mr Gautam Gambhir.”
