Yuzi Chahal Speaks Out Amid Divorce Rumors: India cricketer Yuzi Chahal opened up for the first time since the divorce speculation with his wife, Dhanashree Verma. Chahal asked social media to respect his private life.
What Happened?
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, a YouTuber, dance choreographer, and dentist, got engaged on 8 August 2020 and married each other on 22 December 2020. The couple has been celebrated online ever since, but their recent activity on social media has led to speculation for a potential split.
Both Chahal and Dhanashree unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted each other’s pictures from their social media, leading to widespread speculation that this may be the end of the celebrity couple. Soon, social media was filled with posts of mixed reactions, most of which were against Dhanashree, accusing her of being the reason behind the split. Many even accused her of cheating on the cricketer.

Earlier, Dhanashree had uploaded a story online bashing the social media hate and saying that the truth will prevail in the end. Hours later, Yuzi Chahal uploaded a story on the same social media platform asking to stop the speculation about his personal life.
“I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support, without which, I wouldn’t have come this far. But this journey is far from OVER!!! As there are still many incredible OVERS left to deliver for my country, my team, and for my fans!!! While I am proud to be a sportsman, I am also a Son, a Brother, and a Friend. I understand the curiosity surrounding recent events, particularly about my personal life. However, I have noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that may or may not be true.“
Chahal also said that the social media posts ‘have caused immense pain to me and my family’.
“As a Son, a Brother and a Friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family. My family values have taught me to always wish well for all, strive to achieve success through dedication and hard work, instead of taking shortcuts, and I remain committed to these values. With Divine Blessings, I shall forever strive to seek your love & support and not sympathy. Love all”
Chahal, who had been brilliant for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, will play the 2025 edition of the tournament for Punjab Kings. PBKS picked the player for a whopping INR 18 crore.
