WWE SmackDown Highlights: On 08 November 2025, the latest episode of WWE SmackDown took place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. This episode of SmackDown was entirely based on the aftermath of the Saturday Night Main Event. This episode was built on announcing the competitors for the qualification rounds for the battle royal that will determine the final opponent of John Cena.

Cody Rhodes Starts the Show
After defeating Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night Main Event, Cody Rhodes kicked off this episode of SmackDown. Cody Rhodes said that Drew thought that he could not pull the trigger, but Rhodes said that he would do anything to keep his title. After that, Rhodes said that Drew is in his past, and he wants to focus on what’s next. After that, he was interrupted by Aleister Black, and Black came out to the ring and challenged Cody Rhodes. After that, Nick Aldis came out and made the match official for tonight’s main event.
United States Championship Open Challenge
Ilja Dragunov delivered another United States Championship open challenge, and this week, it was answered by Johnny Gargano. This match was one of the best matches of the entire night, and it went on for more than 20 minutes. The crowd at Bon Secours Wellness Arena was very energetic for this match and kept chanting, “This is Awesome”. At the end of the match, as Johnny was about to jump from the top, Dragunov countered and delivered a Superplex followed by an H-Bomb to secure the win and retain his title via pinfall.
Jade Cargill puts Everyone On Notice
After defeating Tiffany Stratton and becoming the New WWE Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill came out to the ring this week with a very different attitude and put the entire SmackDown roster on notice. She simply that, “Make no mistake about it, I am that B*tch”
Nia Jax vs Charlotte Flair
On this episode of SmackDown, we saw a one-on-one match between Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair. This match went on 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, we saw Lash Legend interfering and choking out Alexa Bliss. Nia Jax took advantage of this moment and delivered an Annihilator to secure the win via pinfall.
Giulia vs Chelsea Green
On this episode of SmackDown, Giulia defended her Women’s United Championship against Chelsea Green. This match went on for 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, Alba Fyre distracted Giulia, which allowed Green to pull off a roll-up cover on Giulia to win the Women’s United Championship
Rey Fenix vs Talla Tonga
In a short match, Talla Tonga defeated Rey Fenix, and after the match, Solo Sikoa wanted to attack Rey Fenix, but Sami Zayn came out to the ring with a steel chair to save Rey, which forced Solo and Talla to leave the ring.
Mystery Opponent for John Cena
The SmackDown General Manager announced that next week, there will be two qualification matches to determine the competitors for the battle royal that will determine the final opponent of John Cena. The first match that he announced was Jey Uso vs The Miz, and the second match will be LA Knight facing a mystery opponent that will be announced next week.
Cody Rhodes vs Aleister Black
As announced, the main event of this episode of SmackDown was a one-on-one match between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black. This match went on for 20+ minutes, and at the end of the match, we saw Drew McIntyre coming out to attack Cody Rhodes. After that, Damien Priest also came out to save Cody Rhodes. This SmackDown ended with Chaos, with Nick Aldis coming out to announce that Drew is now suspended from WWE.
