This week’s WWE SmackDown episode took place on November 22, 2025, at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The theme of this entire episode was to build further storylines for the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames premium live event. Survivor Series will be streamed live in India via Netflix on November 30, 2025.
On this episode of SmackDown, we saw many great moments and many great wrestling matches. As it was already announced, DIY faced Fraxiom in one of the best tag team matches in recent months. We also saw another five star United States open challenge match. This week’s SmackDown was the final spot for the first round of the Last Time is Now Tournament, and we saw the final first round matches between Carmelo Hayes and Bronson Reed, and Penta and Finn Balor. The main event of this week’s SmackDown was a segment which progressed the Women’s WarGames storyline.
WWE SmackDown Highlights
The Vision Starts the Show
The Vision members, Paul Heyman, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker started this week’s SmackDown. Heyman started this segment by stating that all of the members of Vision are going to run through their opponents at Survivor Series: WarGames completely. As Heyman was talking, they were interrupted by the Usos. Usos said that they are not alone, and Cody Rhodes’s music hit. However, Rhodes didn’t come out as he was attacked by Drew McIntyre backstage in his tour bus. This segment ended with a bloody Rhodes being pulled out from his tour bus by medical staff.
United States Championship Open Challenge
This week’s United States Championship open challenge was accepted by JD McDonagh. Ilja Dragunov was in full control during the early stage of this match. However, as the match progressed, McDonagh also started taking control of this. This match was one of the best matches of the entire night and received “This is Awesome” and “Holy Sh*t” chants from the WWE Universe. Towards the end of the match, Dragunov delivered a power bomb followed by an H-Bomb on McDonagh to retain the title via pinfall.
Carmelo Hayes vs Bronson Reed
Carmelo Hayes faced Bronson Reed in the Last Time is Now Tournament on this week’s SmackDown. This match went on for 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, we saw Jey and Jimmy attacking Logan Paul and Bron Breakker to remove them from the ringside. After that, we saw Rhodes coming out from the audience and delivering a Cross Rhodes to Reed, which allowed Hayes to win this match via count-out. After the match, Rhodes delivered a passionate promo, stating that he will beat every single member of the Vision at WarGames.
DIY vs Fraxion
DIY and Fraxiom delivered one of the best tag team matches of the entire night. This match went on for 20+ minutes and at the end of the match, we saw Candice LeRae remove the mask of Axiom, which allowed Johnny Gargano to secure a pin on him.
Penta vs Finn Balor
The final first-round match in the Last Time is Now Tournament was Penta vs Finn Balor. This match was very fast-paced, and the crowd was very active for Penta. Towards the end of the match, Penta delivered a Mexican destroyer on Balor to secure the win and advance in the Last Time is Now Tournament.
Women’s WarGame Build
In the main event of this show, we saw Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley coming out. Ripley stated that their opponents think they are not on the same team, but they are very wrong. After that, Ripley said we are here to announce our fifth member for the WarGames match, and in a shocking surprise, it was AJ Lee. As AJ Lee was coming towards the ring, Becky Lynch attacked her and joined the team of Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and the Kabuki Warriors for WarGames.
