WWE RAW To Move To Netflix
WWE has agreed to a rights deal with Netflix worth over $5 billion over the span of 10 years. With this deal, weekly episodes of RAW, as well as monthly Premium Live Events (formerly pay-per-views) will air on Netflix in the US, Canada, Britain, and Latin America.
The news was taken positively in the market, the news injection of $ 500 million/year over the next 10 years saw the shares of TKO Group Holdings, the owner group of WWE and UFC, rise 21%. Whereas shares for Netflix remained still.

Netflix very recently tried dipping its toes into the live entertainment market. In 2023, comedian Chris Rock’s stand-up special ‘Selective Outrage’ went live on the platform. They also have a massive stake in sports, as the F1 behind-the-scenes show ‘Drive To Survive’ and a golf counterpart of it called ‘Full Swing’, are some of the most watched shows in the Netflix catalog.
In the investor’s meeting for the third quarter of 2023, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos signaled that the platform was looking to get, “in the sports business.”
WWE currently has a deal with the USA Network to broadcast Monday Night RAW weekly in the US. The contract is worth about $265 million/year, half as much worth compared to the Netflix deal.
The broadcast of Premium Live Events in the above-mentioned regions moves to Netflix too, which means that WWE broadcast of these special shows, which include the likes of the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania, will move from the Comcast-owned Peacock streaming service to Netflix as well.
