Wolves Under-8 vs First Team Video: English club Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. shared a cute video in which their under-8 squad was competing with the first team. The session was specifically conducted by the manager Gary O’Neil.

The heartwarming footage showcased the young players participating in a mini-game with their senior counterparts, with O’Neil overseeing the training match. As per the Wolves Under-8 vs First Team Video, The coach outlined specific rules for the game, including restricting first-team players to one touch and no running. Notable senior players, such as Max Kilman, Jose Sa, Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia, and Pedro Neto, actively took part in the session.
“I have got a game for you against the big kids. We are on this pitch here, playing against the first team.”
O’Neil said to the young guns.
As per the Wolves Under-8 vs First Team Video, Calvin Smith, the Wolves pre-academy and development center recruitment officer opined that the drills were to give the best experience for the young lads as well as to bring a ‘one pack’ feeling into the team.
“One thing we look to do each year is getting the under-8s to interact with the first-team, however, that looks. From a recruitment point of view, it gives these boys the best experiences and that’s what pre-academy is about.
“We try and instill that ‘one pack’ mentality and these boys are at the start of their journey so if they can play and interact with their idols, it makes it more realistic and reachable. The fact that the first-team building is only 100 yards away from where the seven and eight-year-olds train is fantastic.”
