According to the sources from the Times of India (TOI), it’s been said that the RCB star will be able to take part in the second ODI. The player got swelling on the right knee and as per reports, it isn’t that bad.
“His right knee was fine during practice, but once we got back to the hotel, it swelled up. It doesn’t seem too bad, though. He will most likely play in the Cuttack ODI,” a source was quoted as saying by TOI.
If the situation gets worse, Virat will have to travel to Bengaluru for a check-up but up until now, it seems like the player may not e needing to.

If Virat Kohli lays in the second ODI, it will be Shreyas Iyer who will have to sit outside. Shreyas was the replacement for Kohli in the 1st IND vs ENG ODI.

“I was watching a movie last night and thought I could extend my night. Then I got a call from the skipper saying I might have to play because Virat has a sore knee. I rushed back to my room and went to sleep straight away,” Iyer revealed in the post-match press conference.
The India vs England 2nd ODI will take place in Cuttack on February 9.
