Why Did SRH Block Warner?: David Warner opened Instagram to congratulate his Australian buddy Travis Head for being bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping 6.8 crores. He tried to share the post about the deal by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Instagram, and what he found out was rather hilarious, as he took it that way. He was blocked by the Hyderabad franchise on Instagram. “Oops! Lemme see if they have me on Twitter.” Well, he was blocked there as well, and what he did, as every normal guy would do, was take a screenshot and post it on social media with a handful of laughing emojis.
Why Did SRH Block Warner?
BACKGROUND
David Warner is SRH’s all-time top-run scorer. The Australian has not only scored 4000 runs for the franchise but also led them to their only title in 2016. He also captained them in 5 seasons and won the orange cap thrice.
Everything was going well until he started losing his form and was then replaced from the captaincy by Kiwies captain Kane Williamson. After that, it was more heartbreaking for him to witness himself getting out of the playing XI. Later, he was released by the franchise, and the Delhi Capitals bought him in 2022. In there, he reinvented his lost form and has shown stunning spectacles in the last two seasons.
THE SMOKE
It was widely said that the dressing room air in Sunrisers wasn’t the purest. Reported speculation even got stronger when Brad Haddin, SRH’s coach at the time, revealed that Warner’s captaincy removal wasn’t really based on a ‘cricketing’ decision.
