Who Will Win 2023-24 European Golden Boot?: The European Golden Shoe is one of the most prestigious awards presented to the highest goal scorer in the continent across domestic league competitions at the end of the season. Some of the best strikers in the world have won this award.
Now that we are almost halfway done with the 2023-24 season, let’s look at who is in the race for the award. Here are the top 5 goalscorers in Europe this season so far.
Who Will Win 2023-24 European Golden Boot?
1) Harry Kane – Bayern Munich
Critics were skeptical when English striker Harry Kane moved from his long-time home at Tottenham Hotspur to German giants Bayern Munich. Perhaps it was his wish to win his first career trophy that compelled him to move to Bayern.
Arguably the best striker in the world, fans did expect Kane to do well in Germany, but not many expected him to adapt to the style of the league so quickly. In just a few months, not only has he proven himself to be a solid replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but is also the highest goalscorer in Europe with 21 goals.

2) Kylian Mbappe – Paris Saint Germain
One of the best in the world and a future Ballon d’Or winner, Kylian Mbappe has been a goalscoring machine for PSG ever since joining the club in 2017. While he did score 30 goals in Ligue 1 last season, he is well on his way to better that record.
In 16 French League matches this season, Mbappe has scored 18 goals. He is well on his way to near the 40-goal-tally in a season.

3) Serhou Guirassy – Stuttgart
Serhou Guirassy has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season. The Guinea international has been one of the surprise stories of the year as he is banging goals for fun in the German top tier. Despite being currently out with an injury, he is still among the top goalscorers in all of Europe. In the 14 matches he has played for Stuttgart this season, he has scored 17 goals.
4) Lautaro Martinez – Inter Milan
Lautaro Martinez has taken over as the main striker for Inter in Romelu Lukaku’s absence. The World Cup winner with Argentina is having a fine season with the Nerazzurri as he is the goalscoring leader in the Serie A with 15 goals in 16 matches.

Lautaro will be looking to win Serie A again with Inter after a two-year trophy drought for the club.
5) Erling Haaland – Manchester City
Despite scoring at a similar pace compared to last year, when he won the Golden Boot, Erling Haaland is only fifth on the list this season so far. That might be because of a few matches he missed, coupled with a ‘slump’ in goalscoring earlier this year.
As it stands, The Norwegian has scored 14 goals in 15 matches this season in the Premier League and will be looking to climb up in the European Golden Boot table in the second half of the season.
