When Will Virat Kohli Retire From Test? Sanjay Bangar Reveals a Fact
Sports have changed the way that players approach their fitness. These days, the introduction of personal and team nutritionists and regular workout regimes is prolonging their days in sports, whether it is cricket or any other sport.
When he was asked about Virat Kohli’s fitness, Sanjay Bangar had the same opinion. A player like Virat who follows a strict fitness program will have his cricket career last longer. Sanjay thinks Virat will play red-ball cricket for another 5 years. He was talking on a podcast.
“The careers of the players are going to get longer, and it will benefit the Indian team. A lot will depend on Virat Kohli’s body. The format he would give up at last will be Test cricket. I am sure he will be there for another five years as far as the longest format is concerned.”
He also thinks Rohit Sharma will keep playing for the country despite winning the T20 World Cup.
“I think Rohit will play till his body and fitness allows him. Sachin was there till 40, and even Rahul Dravid played till 40. A lot of fitness experts are looking after players these days. The nutritionists are also helping.
“Rohit will continue to play for India despite winning the T20 World Cup. He wouldn’t have retired even if India had won the 2023 ODI World Cup. The ICC tournaments are happening every year.”
