What Did Screaming Pep Guardiola Tell City GK: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was seen screaming at his goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega, after City’s 2-2 draw against Brentford in the English Premier League on Tuesday.
The Sky Blues were just 12 minutes away from bagging a win, which would be their third consecutive one in the Premier League, leading 2-0 on the scoresheet. But two unexpected goals from Brentford made the crowd at the Gtech Community Stadium go wild, as they leveled the match and took a valuable 1 point home.
While the first half of the match ended in a draw, Phil Foden gave the visitors the lead with two goals fired at the Brentford net. Brentford’s comeback was from Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard, both of whom scored in an interval of just 10 minutes.
After the match, it looked like Pep Guardiola lost it as he was seen screaming at the goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega, wide-eyed, and also at the same time embracing the player multiple times, which led to a weird moment. The Spanish coach was also seen having a serious talk with other players Josko Gvardiol and Savinho.

What Did Screaming Pep Guardiola Tell City GK
In the post-match presser, Pep clarified what he was saying to the players.
“I was satisfied, we’re talking one action. The same with Ortega, I said how good he played in the actions with the ball, had good passes to Erling [Haaland], how happy and satisfied I am, especially with these two players with what they have done.”
Guardiola was also faced with a question regarding Foden’s post-match comment, in which the English player said that the city players were ‘leggy’ towards the end of the game. Guardiola’s reply was with a sarcastic smile saying:
“Yeah, that’s why I replaced him.”
Man City are in 6th on the Premier League table, having 35 points from 21 matches. Their next match is against Ipswich Town F.C. on January 19 at the Portman Road Stadium.
