Virat Kohli angry reactions vs SRH: What could a fielder do when his bowlers are getting carted around for more than 14 runs an over and when the opposition’s opener smashes a 39-ball century?
Virat Kohli, the only player in IPL history to spend all 17 seasons at a single franchise, let out his frustration and anger at his bowlers and fielders as SRH rocked on their way to amass 287 runs, breaking their own record of 277 runs from about 19 days ago, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday night.
Known to carry his heart on his sleeves, Kohli expressed his annoyance at seeing his bowlers leaking 41 boundaries in a 120-ball innings.

The 35-year-old RCB star endured a range of emotions at various points during SRH’s innings. He was seen kicking the ground fiercely, shouting at his bowlers and teammates, and eventually more of his reactions were of utter disappointment, frustration, and helplessness, something that is rare with Kohli.

In the chase of 288, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis did get off to a good start and imbued some semblance of hope among the RCB fans and teammates that the unthinkable is still possible.
Kohli and Faf scored 79/0 in the first six overs, going at just below the required rate. However, the hopes started to dash soon after the powerplay as Mayank Markande knocked over Kohli’s stumps. Kohli was gone for 42 (20).
In the next over, Will Jacks was run-out as Unadkat got his hand to a straight drive from du Plessis and the ball hit the non-striker’s end with Jacks out of his crease.
Rajat Patidar, du Plessis, and Saurav Chauhan got out before the halfway mark of RCB’s innings, and the fans started to leave the Chinnaswamy. Dinesh Karthik, though, denied SRH a big victory. The 38-year-old wicketkeeper smashed 83 runs in 35 balls, walloping 5 fours and 7 sixes to ensure that RCB ended only 25 runs behind SRH’s 287.
With six losses in seven matches, RCB are all but out of the playoff race. Pat Cummins’ SRH, on the other hand, have four wins in six matches, and their batting is unarguably the most destructive one in the tournament, having twice broken the record for the highest IPL total.
