Vince McMahon Hall of Fame 2023 update: Ever since he left his position as the Chairman of WWE last year, there were speculations surrounding his future with the company. The 78-year-old has since returned as the Chairman and facilitated WWE’s sale to Endeavor Media. The question now stands whether McMahon, for all his work as the owner and an on-screen character, be inducted into the promotion’s storied Hall of Fame.

In June 2022, Vince McMahon stepped down from his position as Chairman and CEO of WWE amid reports of sexual misconduct and providing hush money to former female employees. However, neither the company nor McMahon himself touted any of it as the reason. Vince was replaced by his daughter Stephanie and company executive Nick Khan as co-CEOs.

While Mr. McMahion was away from the company, it was assumed that WWE would try to distance itself from him, even though he was still, at that moment, the highest individual shareholder in the company.
Now that WWE has been sold, and Vince McMahon is back as the chairman, the question now arises – Will Vince McMahon go into the WWE Hall of Fame?
Controversy has never (except in the horrid case of Chris Benoit) stopped anyone from being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The Ultimate Warrior, with a chequered past with the company and an even more spotted history with homophobia, was still inducted in 2014.

Hulk Hogan, after briefly being removed from the HOF after a racist tirade of his came to light, was welcomed back not only into the Hall of Fame but back onto the TV screen with open arms.
So it seems highly unlikely that it will be his recent controversies that keeps Vince McMahon out of the Hall of Fame/ But, for all the years he ran WWE, Vince should already have been in the Hall of Fame.
The reason he is not is because he does not want to. It is Vince McMahon who decides who goes into the Hall of Fame each year.
It is said that Vince McMahon will not go into the WWE Hall of Fame till he is alive. Legendary wrestling booker and announcer Jim Cornette on his popular podcast ‘The Jim Cornette Experience’ revealed that McMahon senior despises the idea of being inducted into the HOF.

“Vince will never go in the Hall of Fame as long as he is still alive. That is one thing he constantly tells everybody, he gets mad if they don’t listen, he doesn’t want anyone to thank him on their acceptance speeches. I don’t know if it’s because, let’s face it, Vince has a fairly healthy ego. I don’t know if he wants to be humble and loveable like a shoeshine boy, but he knows the ways that the boys are,”
said Cornette.
So, the immediate answer to the question is – No. Vince McMahon will not be inducted into the Hall of Fame, at least in the foreseeable future. But stranger things have happened in the wrestling business.
