Vaibhav Suryavanshi All Records: 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored a century in his ACC U19 Asia Cup debut, reaching another milestone in what has been a sensational 2025 for the youngster.
The India U-19 men’s cricket team is currently playing in the U19 Asia Cup. This is the 12th edition of this competition, being played in the United Arab Emirates. India is in Group A of this tournament alongside Malaysia, hosts UAE, and, to no one’s surprise, Pakistan.

The competition started today. And on Day 1, all four Group A teams are playing. While Pakistan is facing the Malaysians, the Boys in Blue are taking on the UAE. India’s match, which is being played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, saw the home side win the toss and opt to bowl first.
The Indians bled early, as Captain Ayush Mhatre was dismissed in the third over after making just four off 11. But then came a partnership that turned the game on its head. Aaron Varghese came in to bat at number three, joining Vaibhav Suryvanshi on the pitch.
While Aaron played a fine knock over the next 25 overs, Suryavanshi, like he usually does, stole the show. The young batter from Bihar started taking the bowlers on in a manner that the pitch, which looked to support pace bowlers, did not allow.
At the 10th over mark, India was at 59-1, with Vaibhav playing at 29 off 21. A couple of overs later, he had reached his 50, doing so in just 32 balls. It wouldn’t take long for the young teen to then reach three digits. three digits. In the 21st over, he reached the 100-run mark, doing so in just 56 deliveries.
Suryavanshi then built upon that century. By the time he was dismissed. He had made 171 runs in 95 balls. He scored 9 fours and 14 sixes, batting at a strike rate of 180.
Making a century on his U19 Asia Cup debut is the latest of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s many accolades this year. At the tail end of 2024, he became the youngest player to have been picked in the IPL auction when Rajasthan Royals spent just over Rs. 1 crore. He joined an IPL squad at the age of 13.
Then, in IPL 2025, Vaibhav became the youngest player to play a match in the league at the age of 14. Then, in only his third game, he scored the fastest century in IPL history by an Indian, also becoming the youngest T20 centurion ever.
Later, during the 2025 Asia Cup Rising Stars, Suryavanshi scored the joint-third-fastest T20 century by an Indian, making one in just 32 deliveries against the UAE. Lastly, he also scored the fastest century by an Indian in U19 tests, making one against the Aussies in 58 balls.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been retained by the RR ahead of IPL 2026. But before that, he still has the remainder of the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2025 ahead of him.
