Trick Williams Reacts To His NXT Championship Win: WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams opened up for the first time since winning the NXT Championship at the brand’s Spring Breakin’ special event.
The main event of NXT Spring Breakin’ Night One on April 23 was the NXT title match between Champion Ilja Dragunov and Williams, who was challenging one-on-one for the title for a second time, the first time being on the Vengence Day event back in February.
Rather than being a Premium Live Event, Spring Breeakin’ is just a special episode of the weekly NXT programme Night, Two of which will take place next week on April 30.
Trick Williams, who is undoubtedly the most popular star in the white and gold brand at the moment, recently defeated his former partner Carmelo Hayes twice, first in the main event of NXT Stand & Deliver on WrestleMania 40 weekend and the second time last week’s episode of NXT in a Steel Cage match.
The stage was set for a massive title match last night, with former champions in NXT arriving at the show. The likes of the Cree Brothers, The New Catch Rebublic, former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano, and current World Heavyweight Champion Damien Priest were all in attendance for the contest.
In what was a typically hellacious Ilja Dragunov match, the champ hit Trick with his finisher the H-Bomb multiple times, but Williams prevailed and won the match by pinfall, becoming the NXT Champion.

The new champ has now broken his silence for the first time since winning the title. Trick Williams took to social media to post his images with the title belt with the caption reading –
“Let’s talk about it”
With the WWE Draft coming up, the likes of Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes are expected to be shifted to either RAW or SmackDown, with Trick Williams ruling over NXT as the leader of the new guard.
