Trent Boult castled Yashasvi Jaiswal with a ripper: For the third game in a row, Trent Boult picked up three or more wickets as he returned with figures of 3/28 against the Rajasthan Royals on Thursday evening in Jaipur, following up from his figures of 3/20 against Lucknow Super Giants and 4/26 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
And once again, Boult made a significant strike in the first over he bowled in this match as he castled the dangerous RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Jaiswal, who has made a big splash in international cricket and in the IPL over the last couple of years, has been in good form this season as well. However, he was outdone by a beauty from Trent Boult.
This was indeed a revenge for Boult on Jaiswal, as the left-hander had hit him for two sixes in the first three balls they clashed. But on the fourth ball, Boult had the last laugh.

When Boult searched for some swing and bowled on good length and full length, he was dispatched for a couple of maximums by Jaiswal. Realizing that Jaiswal is on the charge in the pursuit of the target of 218 and that there is no movement in the air available for him, Boult dragged his length back a bit, and this change in strategy immediately paid dividends for the left-arm pacer.
Jaiswal tried to take on the back-of-length delivery with a mighty pull shot. However, the ball stayed a bit lower than Jaiswal anticipated. The ball snuck under his bat and crashed into the top of the stumps. Boult was upbeat, and his celebration of the wicket showed his emotions after being smashed for a couple of sixes.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians have turned around their campaign spectacularly. After winning only one out of their first five matches, they have now won six matches in a row and now sit comfortably at the top of the points table with 14 points in 11 games and a healthy net run rate of +1.274.
