Travis Head Scores Big Ton In IND Vs AUS 2nd Test: Australian batter Travis Head has potentially batted India out of the game after scoring a quickfire ton on Day Two of the ongoing Test match between the two nations. He has now been dismissed by Mohammed Siraj.
Today is Day Two of the second Australia vs India Test of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The match is being played at the Adelaide Oval and is a day/night Test played with a pink ball.

The day started with the home team being a couple of steps ahead. On Day One, the Indians were all out for 180, and the Aussies ended the day at 86/1. However, soon after the start of today’s play, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Nathan McSweeney and Steve Smith. This left Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne on strike.
At this point in the game, with Australia at 103/3, there was still a chance that India could bundle the inning up and take a first-inning lead. However, Head and Labuschagne thought otherwise.
Marnus scored 64 runs before becoming Nitish Kumar Reddy’s first Test wicket. By the time he got out, the score was 168/4, with the Kangaroos just 12 runs behind.
Although Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey couldn’t do much with the bat, Travis Head at the other end was dominating Indian bowling. He first reached his 50, and then his ton, keeping his strike rate in the 80s.
Head accelerated his inning as Australia expanded their lead. By the time the lead had grown to 100 runs, Travis Head had gone past the 100-run mark and was dealing in boundaries.

In the 82nd ball of the inning and second over with the new ball, Head hit Mohammed Siraj for a four after a poor ball on the pads. But the very next ball saw the pacer target the stumps. Although the ball was a full toss, it pierced the batter’s defences and hit the wickets.
Travis Head had gotten out for 140 off 141 balls. He received a standing ovation from the Australian crowd for turning the game on its head (no pun intended).
While leaving the field, Head even exchanged a few fiery words with Siraj, which made the Indian pacer a pariah in the eyes of the crowd, who booed him incessantly from this point on.
At the end of the second session of Day Two, the Aussies are at 332/7 and have a 152-run lead in the second India vs Australia Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
