Top 3 Fastest IPL Centuries By An Indian: In the 18-year history of the IPL, most of India’s and the world’s best cricketers have been a part of this league. With this being a T20 league, the focus has always been on the batters and scoring more runs quickly.
Such an environment rewards batters to score quick runs. And sometimes, the batters score these runs so fast as to reach massive milestones in the blink of an eye. Today, we will see the top 3 fastest IPL centuries by an Indian.
While some of the most attacking IPL players ever have been overseas stars, Indian players too have played more than enough innings to etch their names in the history books; these are but three of them. And surprisingly, two of them have come this year.

3) Pritansh Arya – PBKS Vs CSK (2025)
Priyansh Arya was brought into the Punjab Kings side for IPL 2025 for his sheer attacking prowess, having scored six 6s in an over in the Delhi Premier League. Not only was he bought by the PBKS, but he was also sent out to open the inning right from the start of the season.
After a few quiet matches, Arya announced his arrival in the Indian Premier League when his team took on the Chennai Super Kings in Match 22 of the season at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
While batting first, Punjab scored 219 runs, with Priyansh taking charge. He ended up scoring 103 off 42, with his century coming in 39 balls. This was the second-fastest ton by an Indian in IPL history at the time and is now the third. This is also the sixth-fastest 100 in the league’s history.
2) Yusuf Pathan – RR Vs MI (2010)
Yusuf Pathan was one of the first pure attacking batters in IPL and T20 cricket. By the time 2010 rolled around, not only was he an established name in the league but also the best batter for the inaugural champions, the Rajasthan Royals.
In the second match of the 2010 season, RR took on MI at the Brabourne Stadium and were chasing a target of 213. Within the first 10 overs, the Royals lost four wickets. But then, Yusuf Pathan scored a century in just 37 balls, which remained the fastest 100 by an Indian in the IPL for 15 years. However, RR did go on to lose that match by four runs.
1) Vaibhav Suryavanshi – RR Vs GT (2025)
This inning stands as not only one of the best in IPL history but also one of the greatest cricketing moments of the 21st century. The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi had become the youngest player to debut in the IPL just a few days back. And now, he broke a record that has nothing to do with his age.
RR were chasing a 210-run target against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Vaibhav, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, put together a 166-run partnership. In this, Suryavanshi scored 101 off 38, with his century coming in just 35 deliveries, breaking Yusuf Pathan’s 15-year-old record of the fastest 100 in the IPL by an Indian, a record that was older than Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
