IND vs ENG Dream11 prediction 1st T20I: India would look to put behind the disappointments of the Test series loss in Australia and look forward to the upcoming white-ball season. It will kick off with a five-match T20I series against England, followed by a three-ODI series against the same opposition, which will lead into the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
India are the reigning T20 world champs, having won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 last year. Then, under new skipper Suryakumar Yadav, India won three consecutive T20I series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and South Africa.
England, too, would be high on confidence, having beaten West Indies in West Indies in a T20I series by 3-1.
The first T20I of the IND vs ENG series will be played in Kolkata at the Eden Gardens, which produced high-scoring matches in the IPL 2024 season.
India vs England T20I head-to-head:
In 24 T20Is between India and England, India won 13, and England won 11.
Jos Buttler (c, wk), Phil Salt (wk), Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, Harry Brook, Jamie Smith, Adil Rashid, Brydon Carse, Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, Rehan Ahmed
Eden Gardens is a heavily batting-friendly venue. The flat surface and the short boundary dimensions make Eden Gardens a batting paradise. The average innings score in Kolkata in IPL 2024 was 209.
India vs England Dream11 Captaincy Prediction:
Sanju Samson is our suggested Dream11 captaincy choice for the IND vs ENG 1st T20I. Samson has been in great T20I form recently. He smashed three centuries in his last five T20I innings; two of them were in South Africa. In IPL 2024, he scored 531 runs at an average of 48. Samson could also give fantasy points through his wicketkeeping.

IND vs ENG Todays Match Prediction: Just weeks before the start of Champions Trophy 2025, India will take on England in a three-match T20I series.
The Indian Cricket Team comes into this series after a poor tour to Australia, losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 3-1. This came after losing a Test series at home for the first time in 12 years when they lost 3-0 to New Zealand. However, between these two Tests series was a four-match T20I series against South Africa, which India won 3-1.
As for the England Cricket Team, they recently won an away Test series against the New Zealand 2-1. Before that was their last limited-overs cricket, a five T20I series against the Wst Indies, which England won 3-1, after losing an ODI series to the same opposition 2-1.

India vs England Dream11 Prediction; Predicted XIs:
Indian Stars Jump Up In ICC T20I Rankings: Multiple Indian Cricket Team starts have made massive jumps in the ICC T210I player rankings following the recent 3-1 series win over India.
The recent India vs South Africa T20I series finished in a fine 3-1 win for the Men in Blue. The Indians took the series’ first, third, and fourth matches, scoring over 200 runs in each of their victories.
The series saw several stars rise to the occasion for the national team and be rewarded by hiking up the official player rankings.
Indian Stars Jump Up In ICC T20I Rankings
The first one of these would be Hardik Pandya. The Mumbai Indians captain has now climbed to the top of the all-rounder rankings in the ICC rankings. Following the series win against the Proteas, he leapfrogged England’s Liam Livingstone and Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee to reach the top spot with 244 rating points.
Pandya did not have the best of the series against South Africa initially. In the first two matches, he did not take any wickets. While he did not score much in the first match, he did in the second. But his slow innings played a big role in India losing that game.
He had a mediocre outing in the third T20I as well, scoring 18 runs and taking just a wicket, but the star all-rounder showed his mettle. While he did not get to bat in that match, he bowled three overs, just gave up eight runs, and took a wicket.
With Livingstone and Dipendra Airee not playing T20 cricket at the moment, this was enough to push Pandya to the top of the rankings. Although they might have received a massive push from being the Player of the Series in T20Is against Bangladesh the month before.

But that is not all, as India’s explosive batting has seen a few batters jump up the rankings, as Player of the Series Tilak Varma also jumped up the batter’s ranks. In the first two matches of the series, he scored 33 and 20 runs, respectively, while in the final two matches of the series, he scored centuries, becoming only the fifth player to score consecutive tons in T20Is.
All this was enough for him to jump 93 ranks to now sit at third in the batter’s ranking in T20Is with 806 points, behind Travis Head and Phil Salt at No. 1 and 2. Tilak Varma is also the highest-ranked Indian in the format, above skipper Suyakumar Yadav at fourth and Yashasvi Jaiswal at eighth. Sanju Samson, who also scored two tons in this series, jumped 22 ranks to now sit at 17th.
As for bowlers, Arshdeep Singh jumped three rankings to enter the top 10 in ninth, right behind Ravi Bishnooi in eighth.
The Indian Cricket Team will now shift their focus from T20Is to Test cricket as the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia Down Under is about to commence, with the first match starting on November 22 in Perth.
Records Broken In India Vs South Africa 4th T20I: Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma joined up to build the largest-ever 2nd wicket partnership in T20 cricket in the fourth India vs South Africa T20I last night. This was one of many records broken during the match.
As the Indian Cricket Team was up 2-1 in the four-match series, this was a must-win for both sides. This match was played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and saw the visitors win the toss and decide to bat first.
Openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma gave India a blistering start. While Sanju looked in fine touch, Abhishek created a few chances for the bowlers. When the latter was dismissed for 36 runs, the team score was 73/1 in the sixth over.
Records Broken In India Vs South Africa 4th T20I
But the madness truly started when Tilak Varma walked into bat. What happened next is a very rare sight in cricket. Normally, one of two batters on strike is in song, while the other supports them and rotates the strike. But here, both the batters were looking to batter the opposition bowling.
First, Samson reached his 50, then Tilak took charge, and he reached his 50. While the latter handed a few chances to the fielders, which were dropped, the two not only batted with a blistering pace but didn’t lose their wickets as well. This meant that the Men in Blue first blew past the 200-run mark, then 250, and finally stopped at 283/1 at the end of the 20 overs.
This is the second-biggest T20I score by a Test-playing nation. Earlier this year, India scored 297/6 against Bangladesh, which is the highest score in the format for Test nations. Overall, yesterday’s battering was the fifth-highest score in T20I cricket.
Both Samson and Varma scored 100. While the Rajasthan Royals captain scored 109 off 56, the Mumbai Indians batter scored 120 off 47. Tilak’s ton made him only the fifth cricketer ever to score two consecutive tons in T20I cricket. He is now the second Indian to achieve this feat.
But the first Indian to score consecutive T20I tons had a fantastic night too, as Sanju scored his third century in the format of the year. This made him the first batter to score three T20I 100s in a single calendar year.
Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma came together for a 210* run partnership for the second wicket, which is the largest ever in t20I cricket, Test nations or otherwise.
But in all the destruction the batting caused on the day, the Indian bowling should be given its flowers as well. They took four wickets in the powerplay and bowled South Africa out for 148. This meant that India won the match by 135 runs. Not only is this the biggest margin of victory in T20Is between these two nations, but also the second biggest margin between two Test-playing nations in a match.
The Indian Cricket Team is now gearing up for the highly anticipated five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia Down Under, which will commence on November 22 with the first match in Perth.
India Defeat South Africa In 4th T20I By 135 Runs: The Indian Cricket Team absolutely demolished South Africa in the fourth and final T20I of the series to take the trophy home as Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma scored fine centuries.
India Defeat South Africa In 4th T20I By 135 Runs
The fourth India vs South Africa T20I was played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. And for the first time in the series, India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss as he decided to bat first.
The duo of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma walked out to open the Indian innings. While Samson, who scored two ducks in the past two games, got off the mark in an attacking manner, Sharma seemed to struggle in the early going, kicking the ball a couple of times in the early going.
The two then, as the Men in Blue have done throughout this series, started the inning with a high scoring rate. When Abhishek got out for 36 in the sixth over, the team score was 73/1. At this point, Tilak Varma walked in, and India never looked back in this match.
Soon after, Sanju reached his half-century, and then Tilak did. Samson, on occasion, focused on running between the wickets to bring Tilak, who looked in excellent touch, on strike. The team went past the 200-run mark in the 15th over.
While in his 70s and 80s, Varma was dropped on a couple of occasions. Then first, the Rajasthan Royals captain reached his ton and then did the Mumbai Indians batter. The two never stopped attacking, first taking India past 250 runs and then bringing the inning to a stop at 283/1 in 20 overs.
This was both Samson and Tilak’s second century in the series. While Sanju scored one in the first T20I before scoring two consecutive ducks, Varma scored one in the third T20I and won his team a close match.
And then it came time for South Africa to come out and bat, which was a disaster from the start. Arshdeep Singh bowled Reeza Hendricks in the first over, while Hardik Pandya dismissed Ryan Rickelton in the second. By the time the third over ended, captain Aiden Markram and danger man Heinrich Klaasen had been dismissed too as the Proteas fell to 10/4.
From here, Tristan Stubbs and David Miller stabilised the inning, but the match was already over by that point. By the time Miller got out, the team score was 96/5. Then, on the very next delivery, Stubbs was dismissed as well.
Marco Jansen did provide a late-inning flourish with the bat as he scored 29 off 12, but the tail was quickly done away by the Indian bowling as South Africa was all out for 148 in 18.2 overs.
This 135-run win by India is the largest margin of victory in T20Is between these two nations. Earlier, the record was held by a 106-run India win at the same ground in December 2023.
While Sanju Samson scored 109 off 56, Tilak Varma was named the Player of the Match for his awesome 120 off 47. He was also named the Player of the Series after scoring two 100s in the series on the trot.
Next up for the Indian Cricket Team is the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the five-match Test series against Australia Down Under. The first match of the series will be played on November 22 in Perth.
Tilak Varma was in his Vroom..Vroom.. mode yesterday when he met the South African bowlers, dazzling and sometimes too hot to handle, bashing the balls out of the boundary line to shop something that he has been dreaming of all this time, a Ton in the shortest format of the game.
His maiden Ton took India to get back to the lead in the series after a devastating loss in the second T20I, making it 2-1. The final and the decisive match will have its roll on Friday, November 15, as the Wanderers Stadium awaits wonders.
The cloudy evening of Centurion had it coming: the lightning, but not from the sky but from the bat that has SS engraved on it, the one that Tilak uses.
Tilak Varma Powered India to Smash Proteas
When India was sent to bat first, they fumbled in the very first over as their newly found hero Sanju Samson tumbled into the canvas with a zero. But that is when the unsung hero of the game came onto the battlefield in his unusual No. 3 position, which was asked and bought from the captain prior to the match, as Suryakumar revealed in the presser.
“What more can I say about Tilak Varma? He (Tilak) came to my room at Gqeberha and said give me a chance at No. 3, I want to do well and I said go out there and express yourself. He asked for it and he delivered. Very happy for him and his family. Yes, he will bat at No.3 for now,” Suryakumar Yadav said during the post-match presentation (Via Hindustan Times)
Varma’s unbeaten 107 runs came from 56 balls, and that magnificent innings, as the captain’s effusive words say, cemented his place at No. 3 at least for a while.
Varma couldn’t hold his excitement, and he didn’t have to. After all, he battled himself into the talent-stacked Indian team and proved his worth.
“I cannot put my feelings into words,” Varma said. “It was my dream to hit a hundred for the country and I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Coming back from an injury and hitting a hundred is incredible.
Even at the epitome of emotions, right after scoring his maiden Ton in T20I, the 22-year-old Hyderabad-based cricketer didn’t forget the man who backed him, and that gratitude was shown in the form of a flying kiss.
“It [the celebration] was for Surya, because he gave me this opportunity to bat at No. 3. I had told him that I was going to perform. That’s why I pointed towards him,” said the hero.
The captain reassured Tilak’s ‘earned’ position at No. 3 going forward, saying,
“I knew what he was capable of, and he did that. Going forward, he is definitely batting at No. 3. He asked for it; he delivered; he has earned it.”
Sanju Samson Scored Second 100 In A Row: Sanju Samson has scored his second consecutive century in T20Is for India as he took the team past the 200-run mark against South Africa in the recent T20I. Becoming only the fourth player in history to score two T20I tons in a row.
The Indian Cricket Team took on the Proteas in the first of a four-match T20I series today in Durban’s Kingsmead Stadium. The home team won the toss and decided to bowl first. For the Men in Blue, out walked Samson and Abhishek Sharma to open.
Ever since winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, where they defeated South Africa in the final, India has been playing a lot of young stars in the T20I side. With the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja retiring from the format, Suryakumar Yadav now captains the side, with the likes of Sanju, Abhishek, and Rinku Singh becoming major players in the side.
The Rajasthan Royals captain was the first to attack, scoring a couple of boundaries in the second over. But within the powerplay, Sharma was dismissed by Gerald Coetzee. At 24/1, Sanju and skipper Yadav then partnered up to take India well out of the powerplay. Around the end of eight overs, Samson reached his 50 in just 27 deliveries.
When Surya lost his wicket, the team score was 90/2 in nine overs. At this point, in walked Tilak Varma, and the two on-strike batters tore the bowing attack apart. In the next 5.4 overs, the two combined to make 77 runs, after which Tilak got out for 33 in 18.
Uncharacteristically, Rinku Singh slowed the inning down a bit. But Sanju Samson kept attacking, on the other hand, completing his century in the 15th over. But not looking to slow down after reaching the milestone, the Kerela-based wicketkeeper-batter went full throttle but was then caught near the boundary in the 16th over.
Sanju Samson Scored Second 100 In A Row
Samson had scored 107 runs in 50 balls. After his dismissal, the team only managed to score 20-odd runs in the final four overs, and India barely made it past the 200-run mark, scoring 202/8 in 20 overs.
In 34 T20Is he has played for the national team; this was Sanju Samson’s second century. But what is even more impressive is that his last 100 for India in the format came in his last T20I match. The 29-year-old played all three matches for India in the three-game T20I series against Bangladesh in October.
After promising starts but disappointing performances in the first two T20I, Sanju entered the third game in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium with destruction on his mind. In that game, which was the Indian Cricket Team’s last T20I before today’s match against South Africa, he scored 111 runs in just 47 deliveries and played a major role in taking India to a record score of 297/6 in 20 overs.
With this, he became only the fourth player and only third from a Test-playing nation to score consecutive tons in T20I cricket. Before him, France’s Gustav Mckeon, South Africa’s Rilee Russouw, and England’s Phil Salt have achieved this feat.
On the back of Sanju Samson’s brilliant ton, the first South Africa vs India T20I ended in a 61-run Indian win as the Proteas were bowled out for 141. Sanju, for his inning, was unsurprisingly named the Player of the Match.
Rajasthan Royals Retentions For IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals have had a busy retention window, retaining the maximum amount of six players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Their philosophy while retaining players was to maintain their Indian batting core, even if it meant letting go of some franchise legends.
Having retained six players, RR has zero Right to Match (RTM) cards left. This means that they cannot use RTM to get back some of their biggest names.
Having retained all six players, five of which are capped, the Royals have spent a massive amount, Rs. 79 crore to be exact. This leaves them with the smallest purse going into the auction of just 41 crores. Here are all Rajasthan Royals retentions for IPL 2025.
All Rajasthan Royals Retentions For IPL 2025
1) Sanju Samson – 18 Crore
Photo: BCCI
Sanju Samson is the star captain of the Rajasthan Royals. His being retained at No. 1 for 18 crores was one of the most predictable moves in this retention cycle.
Having been the Royals’ skipper for a few years now, he leads the team well during their recent run of good league results. In 2022, RR reached the final before narrowly missing out on the playoffs in 2023. In 2024, they finished third. One of the best wicketkeeper batters in India, Samson is an absolute legend of this franchise, being its highest run scorer.
Sanju also had a 500+ run season in 2024. So his retention at No. 1 shows the Royals’ faith in him as their captain and the leader of their batting order.
2) Yashasvi Jaiswal – 18 Crore
Photo: PTI
The most promising and in-form opening batter in India, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is a classic case of how the Rajasthan Royals buy into and invest in a young talent till they blossom. And no one has blossomed better in the recent history of this franchise than Jaiswal.
Having been a U-19 star, Jaiswal spent a few years with the Royals before having his breakout season in 2023, where he scored over 600 runs at a strike rate of over 163. Since then, he has been a regular in the Indian cricket team and will be arguably the best Test batter in the world in 2024, scoring two double-centuries in a single series against England.
And despite his 2024 season not going quite as well, his being retained for 18 crore shows how much stock the franchise has put in their young superstar.
3) Riyan Parag – 14 Crore
Photo: BCCI
Riyan Parag was the butt of many jokes surrounding the IPL and the Rajasthan Royals, with many fans being baffled as to why this former U-19 captain was being given so many chances despite failing on most occasions. But a switch was seemingly flipped in 2024 when the Assamese all-rounder finally had his breakout season.
Well, that is not entirely true, as, before IPL 2024, Parag had an outstanding year in domestic cricket, dragging Assam to the latter rounds of several tournaments single-handedly. But it was in the IPL in 2024 that he played some of the best cricket of his life, scoring 573 runs in 15 matches at an average of 52 and a strike rate of almost 150.
These performances resulted in Riyan Parag getting the India call-up. And his being retained for 14 crore is only an extension of the faith that the Royals have shown in him through the years.
4) Dhruv Jurel – 14 Crore
Photo: IANS
Dhruv Jurel’s retention, especially at such a high price, came as a surprise to many. While he is one of the most promising wicketkeeper-batters in India, he has not had a full breakout season in the IPL.
Having made his league debut in 2023, Jurel had a few good performances that season. But in 2024, he had a proper season, based on the new expectations imposed upon him. Dhruv is a wicketkeeper, just like team captain Sanju Samson. But where he surpasses his captain is that he has made his Test debut and did well in Rishabh Pany’s absence for team India.
If this is the price Rajasthan Royals are paying for Dhruv Jurel, they must have some massive plans for this talented cricketer.
5) Shimron Hetmyer – 11 Crore
Shimron Hetmyer has been a reliable finisher for the Rajasthan Royals since joining the team in 2022. His retention means that the Royals now have an incredible batting order already set.
In his first two seasons with the Royals, the West Indian scored 300 runs and 150+ strike rates, winning the team several games with his death over slogging.
Despite not having a good season in 2024, the Royals have shown faith in Hetmyer, retaining him for 11 crores.
6) Sandeep Sharma – 4 Crore (Uncapped)
Photo: BCCI
Despite playing for India in 2015, Sandeep Sharma can be retained as an uncapped player under the ‘MS Dhoni rule’.
From falling out of the league and going unsold in 2023 to being brought into the Royals squad as a replacement, to becoming a match-winner in just two seasons. In 23 games in the past two seasons, Sharma has taken 23 wickets. Becoming somewhat of a death-over specialist, his economy has been well below 9, which is incredible for someone who bowls so much in the final few overs of an inning.
Despite being in the final few years of his career, the Rajasthan Royals have shown faith in Sandeep Sharma by retaining him and rewarding him for his fine performances in the last two seasons.
Big Players Not Retained
While this team has retained some absolute stars, the biggest news from their camp has been the release of Jos Buttler. The England T20I captain is a legend of the franchise, probably the best batter in Rajasthan Royals history. He has won the team countless big matches and even scored over 800 runs in the 2022 season. His loss is truly a big one for this side.
Other big names not retained include the highest wicket-taker in IPL history and multi-time Purple Cap winner Yuzvendra Chahal, powerplay-bowling specialist Trent Boult, legendary spin all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, and Indian pacers Avesh Khan and Prasidh Krishna.
Samson Dismisses the Competition Possibility: Sanju Samson Dismissed the Possibility of Competition in the Indian Cricket Team for the wicketkeeping place. Samson recently smashed a record-breaking ton against Bangladesh in the 3rd and final T20I.
Background
The wicketkeeping position in Team India is hot, as a lot of talented players are in line. Currently, Rishabh Pant is India’s No. 1 wicketkeeper batter, but Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, Jitesh Sharma, and Ishan Kishan are all to take his place. Samson even has better ODI statistics than Pant.
As Pant was given rest after India’s Test series against Bangladesh, Samson was called in for the wicketkeeping role and asked to open for the team in all the 3 T20I matches. The Kerala-based wicketkeeper batter took the most out of the opportunity by smashing a 40-ball ton to become the second-fastest-century holder in the country in the shortest format. Samson also became the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a century in T20I cricket.
Samson Dismisses the Competition Possibility in Team India
His incredible knock will surely make the team management pick him more often than he had been getting picked. This obviously will increase the competition inside the team. When Sanju was asked about the same, the cricketer maturely played down the chances of any competition. Sanju said that the players enjoy each other’s success and are not competing among themselves. Samson was speaking to Sports18.
“Pressure is always there, but we don’t look that way when it comes to wicket-keeping slots. Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, and Jitesh Sharma have known me for a long time, and I have played a lot of cricket with them. We don’t see ourselves as competitors, and we always enjoy each other’s success. After all, we are playing for our country, and we must contribute to a winning cause whenever one of us gets a chance to represent the team. Our job is to wait for a chance and give our best when we are drafted into the Playing XI.”
IND vs BAN 2nd T20I Dream11 Prediction: India continues their winning streak against Bangladesh on this tour. After beating the visitors 2-0 in the Test series, an inexperienced Indian side thrashed Bangladesh in the first T20I in Gwalior.
In the first T20I, Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 127 on a good batting pitch, and then the batters gunned the target down in only 11.5 overs.
The second T20I will be played in Delhi on Wednesday. India will be looking to seal the series, while Bangladesh’s aim would be for an improved performance in both departments.
India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I team news:
India have picked an inexperienced side as several first-choice players who are also part of the Test squad are rested.
India have lost the services of Shivam Dube due to a back injury. Tilak Varma has replaced Dube in the squad.
Bangladesh have kicked off their transition period in T20Is. Shakib Al Hasan had retired from T20Is before this series, and Mahmudullah has announced that this series is his last in this format.
India vs Bangladesh head-to-head T20Is:
India and Bangladesh have faced off in 15 T20Is, out of which India clinched 14 games and Bangladesh won only once.

India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I pitch and weather report:
The Arun Jaitley Stadium is a paradise for the batsmen because of its flat pitch and small boundary sizes. Expect a tall score if India bats first.
The weather on Wednesday in Delhi is clear, with no threat of rain.
India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I Dream11 Captaincy Prediction:
India captain Suryakumar Yadav is an excellent Dream11 captaincy choice for this match. In the first T20I, Yadav hit 29 runs in only 14 balls with two fours and three sixes and looked in imperious touch.
He is the ICC number 2 ranked T20I batsman and has cracked three half-centuries in T20Is this year and a century in the IPL 2024. Since good batting conditions are expected in Delhi, Suryakumar could emerge as the best batsman tonight.
IND vs BAN 2nd T20I Dream11 Prediction 3 players to watch out for:
The 3 players to watch out for in the India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I are Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
