South African Legend Praises Jasprit Bumrah: South African pace-bowling legend Makhaya Ntini recently praised Jsprit Bumrah, calling him a special talent. He even claimed that the Indian national team is just not as good when he is not playing.
Jasprit Burah made his Test return in India’s first of two matches against South Africa. After a long spell of injuries, the right-arm pacer returned to the side before the Asia Cup earlier this year and the team instantly looked better with him leading the bowling attack.
Bumrah then went on to light the Asia Cup and the proceeding World Cup on fire, just missing out on becoming a World Champion with India after a loss in the finals.
South African Legend Praises Jasprit Bumrah: What did he say
In a recent conversation with PTI, Makhaya Ntini had this to say about Bumrah –
“Look where Bumrah releases the ball. He releases the ball from the top of his head. So, he gets the angle to bring the ball back in. He can get deliveries to straighten after pitching. I don’t know if he has powerful wrists and action is always the same, that’s how beautiful it is. His yorkers, he doesn’t miss any, those are the things everyone gets to enjoy. India isn’t the [same] team without Bumrah,” the former Proteas pacer went on to add.”

When fit, the 30-year-old is one of the greatest pacers in the World. In just 30 Test matches, he has taken an incredible 128 wickets with an average of 21.99. His record in limited-overs cricket is impressive as well, taking 149 wickets in 89 ODIs and 74 wickets in 62 T20Is.
His record in the IPL is even more impressive. 145 wickets in 120 matches for Mumbai Indians makes him the pacer with the second-highest wicket-to-match ratio for someone with at least 100 matches, just behind his former MI teammate Lasith Malinga.
