Sidhu Picks the Best Team in T20 World Cup: Former Indian cricket player and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu picked the best team in the ongoing T20 World Cup, and it was not India. Sidhu was in a discussion with Harbhajan Singh on Star Sports.
India have won both of the games they played, the first against Ireland in a dominant fashion, and the second was a magical comeback against rival Pakistan. But are they the only team that keeps a clean sheet when it comes to winning? Not really.
In their own group, Group A, USA stands undefeated in two games. In Group B, Australia have been dominant, winning all three games they played. South Africa won two of two, and Scotland haven’t tasted defeat from anyone but rain. While Afghanistan and the West Indies are maintaining their 100% win record in the tournament in Group C, South Africa have been unstoppable in Group D, winning all three games.

Sidhu Picks the Best Team in T20 World Cup
On the topic of who has been the best team in the tournament so far, Sidhu didn’t even flinch to pick the Proteas.
“South Africa have been the best and most potent team at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. They were in trouble against Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Bangladesh but came out of it.
“They have match-winning batters who have played according to the situations. David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen have been magnificent.
“They have bowlers for every situation. Their pacers are taking wickets while a spinner has been spot on.”
But Harbhajan Singh stayed patriotic during his pick, choosing India along with Australia. He has his reasons as well.
“For me, India and Australia have done well. Australia are winning matches in the West Indies. They are the best over there. The Aussies scored 200 runs against England, despite no one making a fifty. When it comes to ICC tournaments, Australia become a different beast.”
