Shivam Dube Might Miss Initial IPL 2024 Matches: Chennai Super Kings star Shivam Dube might end up missing the first few matches of IPL 2024.
Dube has undergone a career renaissance during his time at CSA playing under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Since joining the franchise in 2022, Dube has transformed into an exciting middle-order batter for the side.
His above-150 strike rate has played a massive role in Chennai’s recent success, including their 2023 IPL win.
His performances in the IPL also opened the gates for his return to the national team for T20I over three years after his last appearance in the blue jersey.

After playing a major role in Mumbai making it to the knockout rounds of the Ranji Trophy, which saw him score 407 runs in five matches at an average of 67.83 and take 13 wickets, Dube suffered a bilateral side strain injury during a league game against Assam on February 16.
While Mumbai is currently playing the Ranji Trophy final against Vidharbha, Dube has not been a part of the side during their knockout tin, which included a quarter-final draw against Baroda and a semi-final win over Tamil Nadu.

Following that injury, Shivam Dube has been rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). At the end of February, it was reported that Shivam would take 3-4 weeks to fully heal.
If the 4-week assessment is correct, Shivam Dube might end up missing two matches for CSK in IPL 2024.
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will kick off the 2024 season of the IPL when they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22. Their next match will be against last year’s finalists Gujarat Titans.
