Shah Rukh Khan Trolls BCCI After IPL Win: Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner and Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan gave a befitting reply to BCCI for punishing and fining pacer Harshit Rana earlier this season after the franchise won their third IPL trophy.
Shah Rukh, who has been a lifelong fan of cricket, has always revelled in his team’s joys and victories. This being KKR’s third title win, we already knew how SRK would react after his team won it all.
As expected, Khan ran around the field to hug and talk to all the players on his team. He even suggested the whole team perform a flying-kiss gesture while posing with the IPL trophy.

Earlier this season, against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens, Rana gave a flying kiss to Mayank Agarwal after dismissing the opening. This wicket celebration landed the 22-year-old a 60% match fee in violation of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.
This incident then snowballed into Harshit Rana being banned for one match and being docked 100% of his match fee after an aggressive celebration against the Delhi Capitals’ Abhishek Porel.
Despite all this, Rana ends the season as the joint-fourth highest wicket-taker in IPL 2024, taking 19 wickets in 13 games with an average of 20.15.
Shah Rukh Khan Trolls BCCI After IPL Win
So after KKR utterly demolished SRH in the final of IPL 2024, Shah Rukh Khan, among other things, had one thing on his mind: giving the Indian cricket and IPL governing body BCCI a befitting reply for punishing one of his best bowlers this season.
A video emerged from KKR’s post-match celebration where Shah Rukh suggested the whole team give the camera a flying kiss while posing with the trophy. The owner then went on top to give Rana a tight hug.
The IPL 2024 final was being played in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. SRH won the toss and chose to bat first. This immediately looked like a bad choice, as both their in-form openers were dismissed in the first two overs. The Sunrisers could not form a decent partnership at any point of the inning and were all-out for just 113.
KKR easily chased the target down, winning the final of the IPL 2024 by eight wickets with 57 balls in hand.
