John Cena is an absolute legend of the WWE. Not only was he the face of the company for over a decade, being the company’s biggest star and giving them countless great moments, but he has also been one of the biggest crossover stars in wrestling history, doing movies and TV shows.

Recently we arrived at the first stop of the John Cena retirement tour, which was the 2025 Royal Rumble. He participated in the match and had a great showing. He eliminated a few superstars and even made it to the final two. It even seemed like he would win the whole thing but was eliminated by Jey Uso at the end.

Seth Rollins On John Cena Retirement
In a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen show, Rollins commented on the 46-year-old’s Rumble appearance and his retirement tour, saying,
“Yeah man, he’s on his final run. He’s on his retirement run. Big John, he had his last Royal Rumble, he’s got his last Chamber, got his last WrestleMania coming up, and then his final year. this is it. And then he’s going to go continue to be an awesome Hollywood actor and the voice of every single commercial on the planet.”
John Cena has not won a match in the WWE in over 2000 days. While that will be a part of the story in his final year of active competition, another overarching story would be Cena’s pursuit of the historic 17th World Championship reign, which would take him past Ric Flair for the most world titles in WWE.
