Sarfaraz Khan Gets Maiden India Call Up: Middle-order batter Sarfaraz Khan earned his maiden India call-up as KL Rahul is set to miss the second Test match between India and England.
The Three Lions shocked the hosts when they won the first Test match of the ongoing Pataudi Trophy by 28 runs. While India batted well in their first innings (second innings of the match), they capitulated under the English spin attack in the last innings of the match, not able to chase down 231.
KL Rahul, who played a crucial knock of 86 in India’s first innings of the first Test, will miss the second Test due to a hamstring injury suffered in the recently played match. Also set to miss the next match is allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 87 in India’s first innings and took a combined five wickets in the match.
The second Test march between India and England, set to be played in Vishakhapatnam’s ACA-VDCA Stadium, will see Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar, and Saurabh Kumar be added to the side.

Sarfaraz Khan Gets Maiden India Call Up
Sarfaraz Khan has been knocking on the national team’s door for some time now. One of the most consistently performing batters in the domestic circuit, Khan was recently named the Player of the Match of the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions.
Washington Sundar is no stranger to the national side. Not only has Sundar played in all formats of international cricket, but he has also proven himself with bat and ball in difficult conditions like in Australia.
Saurabh Kumar is a 30-year-old bowling allrounder from Madhya Pradesh. He also shined in the most recent unofficial Test against the England Lions, taking five wickets in the second innings.
